BRICS. World of Traditions
Our goals are to implement multilateral cultural projects; preserve and promote the cultural heritage, creative legacy and national traditions of BRICS peoples; and develop cultural people-to-people diplomacy.
Our projects pay particular attention to harmonious relations among BRICS countries, built on moral and cultural values. As the distinguished Soviet and Russian scholar Dmitry Likhachev said, “Morality is the most powerful unifying force.”
Our first project
The organisation began its work with the socially significant cultural and educational project Open Your Heart to Kindness, part of the Parade of the Creative Heritage of BRICS Peoples programme. It promotes moral principles through the peacebuilding ideas of renowned thinkers from Russia, India, China, Brazil and South Africa.
Multilateral cooperation
The organisation is preparing multilateral projects. Its plans include cooperation with Russia’s Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Rossotrudnichestvo, the embassies of BRICS member countries in Russia, and Russian embassies in the alliance’s countries.
President of the organisation
Lyudmila Sekacheva is President of BRICS. World of Traditions and a public figure active in culture, peacebuilding and charity.
